The aim of this award is to recognise the achievements of individuals in promoting or advancing the ideals and standards in respiratory physiology and measurement practice.
There are usually 2 awards given for services to Respiratory/Sleep Measurements; one given to a Physician and another to a Scientist, with the award the recipient is endowed with Life membership of ARTP.
There are several awards given out for each national assessment. These are:
Previously known as the Sally Gough Award (pre-2001), this award is given to the candidate most deserving of an award for their achievements, as nominated by the Higher Education Institutes.
This award is given to the candidate who achieves the high grade in the Part 1 Practical Assessment.
This award is given to the best overall Part 2 candidate.
