ARTP Qualification Enrolment

 Pen and PaperScience, technology and medicine are constantly evolving and scientists must ensure they continue to demonstrate best practice. ARTP’s professional qualifications allow respiratory practitioners to update their skills and knowledge.

Undertaking professional competency qualifications enables practitioners to demonstrate their competencies enabling them to follow career pathways and take advantage of professional opportunities.
 
 
 

What qualifications are available from ARTP?

ARTP Associate (Level I) Examination

Aimed at: Physiologists working at Bands 3-4 level as a stand alone assessment of professional competence. 

Requirements: Minimum of one year clinical experience in a Respiratory Physiology department.

Cost:  £375

ARTP Clinical (Level II) Examination

Aimed at: Individuals who have successfully completed the Associate level qualification and wish to ‘top up’ to the Practitioner Qualification.

Cost: £245

ARTP Practitioner (Level III) Examination

Aimed at: Physiologists working at Band 5 or above level, including PTP graduates and STP direct entry students, as a stand alone assessment of professional competence.

Requirements: Minimum two years clinical experience in a Respiratory Physiology department.

Cost: £425

What will I need to do to complete these qualifications?

All qualifications will require candidates to complete an IRCP (Individual record of clinical practice) portfolio in their workplace over a six month period. In addition candidates undertaking Level I will be required to complete a practical examination demonstrating their technical competence with a range of respiratory techniques. Those taking the Level II or Level III examinations will also be required to demonstrate the relevant interpretation as part of a clinical viva.
