TARIFFS

TITLE

CRITERIA

A

PTP STUDENTS*

Enrolled on the Practitioner Training Programme of Modernising Scientific Careers or Year 4 BSC (Hons) Clinical Physiology Students. Proof of ongoing enrolment at the HEI may be required. PTP students from either respiratory or cardiology will be eligible to join.

B

STP STUDENTS*

Enrolled on the Specialist Training Programme of Modernising Scientific Careers. Proof of ongoing enrolment at the HEI may be required

C

ASSISTANT PRACTITIONERS (with voting rights)

Employed in Respiratory Physiology or an allied discipline in Respiratory Medicine in a position that is below accredited status.

D

ASSOCIATE MEMBER (with voting rights)

Employed in Respiratory Physiology or an allied discipline in Respiratory Medicine and be able to demonstrate relevant experience in Respiratory Physiology and Technology.

E

ACCREDITED MEMBER (with voting rights)

An associate member who is currently accepted onto one of the voluntary registers below:

·          RCCP

·          HCPC

·          AHCS register

F

ALLIED MEMBER (WITHOUT RECIPROCAL AGREEMENT)

Allied Profession member is anyone with an interest in Respiratory Physiology, working in a clinical environment that does not fulfil the criteria as specified in tariffs D and E

G

ALLIED MEMBER (WITH RECIPROCAL AGREEMENT)

A concessionary tariff is available to members of affiliated professional bodies having a reciprocal agreement with ARTP

CORPORATE

MEMBER

Open to representatives of companies involved in the fields of respiratory technology, physiology and pharmacology membership is subject to approval by the Executive Committee

CORPORATE

MEMBER

Persons working in a clinical capacity are normally eligible for Assistant, Associate or Accredited membership. This category is open to persons not working in a clinical capacity that wish to hold a personal membership when their company is already a Corporate member

J

OVERSEAS* MEMBER

Employed in Respiratory Physiology, or an allied discipline, or who has an interest in Respiratory Physiology. Other membership benefits are unaffected

LIFE TIME AWARD

SLEEP ONLY

ARTP Sleep membership is available to all UK Sleep Practitioners. Members may apply as an ARTP SLEEP member and receive SLEEP membership benefits, or as a full member and receive ARTP SLEEP benefits at no extra cost.

Reciprocal Membership Agreements

The British Thoracic Society have agreed that ARTP members are eligible for their concessionary rate (irrespective of the salary threshold).

No other formal reciprocal agreements have yet been made with other professional bodies.

Membership applications are accepted at the discretion of the ARTP Executive Board, and the decision of the Executive Board is final.
