Abstracts - Now Open for Submission

Submission Deadline: Midnight, Monday 2nd October 2017

Abstract SubmissionShare your research findings!

The ARTP Annual Conference is a premier meeting to present your research and we invite authors to submit abstracts for oral and poster presentations at the 2018 Conference in Brighton.

Abstract submissions have been increasing over recent years in number and quality, and so we would encourage you to submit your application as soon as possible. They can consist of scientific presentations (such as presenting new theories, techniques, clinical research, etc), clinical presentations (such as case studies, new therapeutic approaches, etc) or innovative systems of work (such as new patient care pathways, audits, etc).

You are invited to present it at our forthcoming conference in a friendly, supportive and educational atmosphere and by doing so it will help you gain recognition for your work and boost your profile among the UK's leading respiratory experts.

ARTP Abstract Categories

Abstracts should be submitted in one of three categories:

Word CloudCategory A

This is for students and those who have not previously presented at ARTP. You will be asked to submit a poster presentation only.

Category B

This is for non-students and previous presenters at ARTP conferences. Submissions may be for either a poster or oral communication.

Category C

This is for STP students presenting their dissertation work. Submissions may be for either a poster or oral communication.

The decision as to whether a presentation is to be a poster or oral communication will be solely that of the Abstract committee, whose decision will be final. The abstracts committee will review all abstracts submitted by the closing date using an anonymous version. Each abstract will be scrutinized and amendments requested where required to ensure the high quality and scientific worth of the conference and the 'Inspire' journal.

Authors will then be notified by Friday 27th October 2017 as to whether their submitted abstract has been accepted for presentation.

Format Requirements and Abstract Structure

There are seven easy steps to submitting your abstract:

1. Consider the content of your abstract and what you want it to say

2. Using the template contained in the   Abstract Submission Guidelines 2018, complete the Title section

3. Select the category: A = Student, B = Non-student C = STP Student

4. Complete the Author’s names (on one version only), Centre and Category

5. Prepare your data and write the content according to the format - Aim, Methods, Results and Conclusions

6. Ensure the Word Count and Size of the Abstract Form is correct

7. Submit the form electronically using the online facility at Abstract Submission to be received before Midnight on Monday 02 October 2017. Authors must remember to submit two versions of the abstract; the second being an anonymous version. Authors are required to leave their category stated, but remove the author details.
