Respiratory Physiology is a profession with long term career prospects. The normally working hours are 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, although extra hours and on-call may be required in some departments.
The approximate pay scales for each level are detailed below:-

Associate /Assistant (Post GCSEs) £13,653 – £21,798

Practitioner Training Programme (PTP) £21,176 - £34,189
 
Scientist Training Programme (STP) £25,472 - £46,621

Higher Specialist Scientific Training (HSST) £38,851 Plus
