BTS Learning and Best Practice Fellowships

27 September 2016

The British Thoracic Society is working in association with several partners from bio-medical industries to offer Travel Fellowships to selected international and national respiratory conferences.  One of these events is the BTS Winter Meeting (7-9 December 2016).

Various funding partners have provided the funding to support attendance by selected Fellows at selected conferences but will have no part in selecting those who attend.  BTS provides the infrastructure for publicising the scheme, processing applications, selecting the recipients, and organising the travel, accommodation and delegate fees.  Individuals or their employing institutions cannot be given travel grants.  You do not need to be a BTS member to apply for the Travel Fellowship.

To apply for one of these new awards you must

  • be based in the UK
  • have had an abstract accepted for the Winter Meeting
  • be attending the Winter Meeting to present your abstract in a spoken or discussed poster session
  • be able to clearly demonstrate how the work/subject of the abstract will benefit respiratory patients

If you have already booked your travel, hotel and/or paid your delegate fee we regret that we will not be able to reimburse you or your employing institution.

Applications must be submitted by 5pm, Monday 10th October.
