Full Certificate in Paediatric Spirometry
Who Is This Aimed At?
The ARTP/BTS Full Certificate in Paediatric Spirometry has been introduced to give a recognised national qualification for those practitioners who regularly perform spirometry and interpret the results on paediatric patients. This is very similar to the adult based Full Certificate on spirometry but has been adapted to focus on paediatric testing. This is a Level 3 practical competence certificate.
The primary target is:
• nurses (district, practice-based, respiratory nurse specialists)
• physiotherapists (especially respiratory specialists)
• Doctors (general practitioners)
Before undertaking the Full Paediatric Spirometry certificate, you will need to have undertaken an ARTP Paediatric Spirometry course. The current accredited ARTP Paediatric Spirometry training centres are Royal Hospital for Sick Children, Glasgow and Great Ormond Street, London.
These courses are held biannually, to register or find out more information on the two-day training course, please contact Paul Burns – email@example.com
for Glasgow and Jane Kirkby – firstname.lastname@example.org
Course costs are set locally by the ARTP Spirometry Training Centre. Come Centres also include ARTP certificate registration costs in their course costs, so please check when you apply.
The aim of the two day course is to provide delegates with the theoretical and practical knowledge required for the performance and interpretation of paediatric Spirometry to the required standard to undertake the ARTP Full Spirometry Certificate.
To register with ARTP for the Full Paediatric Certificate = £200 (including handbook)
